Hello all and welcome to Abigail Jane Photography website and blog!
Thank you for being here! I'm so grateful for the family, friends and community I am so blessed to have, and be a part of! Your support and encouragement have been indispensable to me and the starting of this business! So, thank you for your support as I venture into this business of photographing beauty in the everyday!
Here's a little introduction and how my photography journey all began and why I'm so passionate about capturing people just like you. :-)
The first thing to know about me is that I'm saved by the precious blood of Jesus Christ, and I know I wouldn't be here, if it hadn't been for His grace and mercy on me.
This verse perfectly sums up how I live my life:
"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."
~Galatians 2:20~

I came from a musical family of 8 and I'm number 7 in the lineup. I was born and raised in Tx, until I fell in love and then married my best friend and husband, Jared, at the age of 20. :-) <3
We lived in Louisiana for a while, where we added two little boys to our home sweet home there. We then moved to Ohio where God blessed us with another son. Yes, we are the proud parents to three wonderfully vibrant and precious little boys, and we wouldn't trade it for the world! I love my life, and I thank God for it all the time-when I can remember to! (Mom-brain gets in the way sometimes though! ha-ha)
Growing up in a large family was so much fun and I loved it so much! It presented so many great opportunities for me in many different ways, that I probably wouldn't have had, had I not been born in a large family. My parents taught me how to love music, traveling and creating any sort of art, including photography and I'm so thankful for that. My grandparents and parents both met through music so now that I am a mother, I don't want the music to stop with me! Hubby and I both have a love for music and want to pass the same love of music and creating things, on down to our own children too. :)
One Spring Day in Texas, a 4-year-old little girl played outside with flowers....
My photography journey started one day as a barefoot 4-year-old, playing outside creating art with flowers in the Texas springtime at my grandma's house. My mom took notice and handed me her point and shoot camera and let me "play" and take pictures with it.
She tells me that she knew she could delete photos, so she wasn't worried about anything.
I don't think she realized it then, but my mom was creating a photographer in me, and something was coming alive inside of me, igniting with passion. Something just felt so natural and right with a camera in my tiny little hands that day.
As the years went on, my mom upgraded her camera, and she continued to let me use it. I began falling in love with taking candids of my family and friends and going outback on our 13 acres capturing flowers, trees, sunshine and birds-God's beautiful creation! Something was just so exciting about being able to capture someone's natural reaction and not a pose. It took patience I learned, to be able to sit there and wait until the person erupted into a laugh or a big smile. It felt like finding a treasure to me-I got to capture that priceless moment!
Here's an example of that: I remember how utterly happy it made me that I was able to capture this smile from my niece! Capturing those beautiful moments has and will always be a joy to me!

I can't tell you how many times, on the many trips my family took for musical purposes, that I would stare out the window, dreaming that I could stop here or there just to capture the beauty that I beheld outside my window. The places I saw were always so scenic and beautiful!
And, here I am now, with my very own camera and I get to do exactly that! (whenever I have the time, that is! haha)
It truly is a dream come true for me, especially when I get to capture the beauty and details of God's design in all the beautiful people He has created!
I am now living the dream I dreamed so many times and yet thought would likely never come to fruition!
I feel it has to be said here also, that my first and biggest dream before photography, was to be a wife and momma someday. I never in a million years thought that God would fulfill that dream of mine, at the age of 20-as immature as I was then! I am still immature in ways, but He's brought me a long way since then!
He is ever faithful, and I don't deserve His goodness towards me at all. I'm living my dreamlife ALL because of our Lord and Saviour Jesus and God our Father.

And with that I will leave you! I hope this has blessed you in some small way and has let you get to know me a bit!
Let me know in the comments below where you are from, how many is in your family and what ignites you with passion!
Until next time, all glory to God!
